Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chillar starrer period drama 'Samrat Prithviraj' releases today, June 3. The movie, which narrates the life story of legendary warrior king Prithviraj Chauhan, is garnering a good response from fans and critics. However, a photo from the film has gone viral on social media and it has miffed several netizens who are trolling Akshay. In the picture, the actor was seen tied along with Sonu Sood, but Akshay’s rope was very loose. This goof-up invited heavy criticism and jokes on social media by trolls.

The viral photo depicted a scene from Prithviraj Chauhan and showed Akshay and Sonu’s characters suffering at the hands of their enemies. The picture has been massively shared by trolls with their nasty comments. Interestingly, ahead of its release, Akshay Kumar hosted a special screening of Samrat Prithviraj for Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. A special screening of the film was also held in Lucknow after the UP CM declared Samrat Prithviraj tax-free in Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

The movie has been directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and is produced by Yash Raj Films. It features Akshay as Prithviraj Chauhan, while Manushi Chhillar as Sanyogita makes her Bollywood debut with the movie. Samrat Prithviraj also stars Sanjay Dutt, Manav Vij, Ashutosh Rana, and Sakshi Tanwar in pivotal roles.
